What is WRHA and ARHA?

WRHA is a charter club of ARHA (American Ranch Horse Association). The ARHA is open to any stock type horse, including AQHA, APHA, PtHA, ApHC, IBHA, ABRA and PHBA. In order to show at an ARHA sanctioned show, your horse must first be registered with ARHA (a one time process). The owner of the horse must be a current ARHA member. You can visit www.AmericanRanchHorse.net to register your horse with ARHA and fill out ARHA membership forms.

Our mission is simple, we work to promote, advertise, encourage and develop ranch type horses and ranch type shows in this area. Our club was organized in 2008 with a membership of 8 people. Our first sanctioned show was in September of 2008 at 2K Ranch in Helenville, WI. From those simple beginnings, our club has grown to over 100 members. As a member of WRHA, some of the benefits you will enjoy are:

~ Club newsletter
~ Clinics
~ Divisional High Point Awards at each show
~ Year End Awards Nomination Program
~ Annual Banquet

Our shows are casual, no glitz and glitter. Horses wear just regular working tack and handlers wear western attire. Our classes are varied and offer something for just about anyone. Examples are: Working Cattle, Roping, Ranch Riding, Conformation, Showmanship and Horsemanship. If you are looking for a fun, friendly, and family oriented organization to show with, we are the club for you.
